Forwarded Notification from the Ministry of Education: Attached are five health education materials on infectious disease prevention, including “Chickenpox Prevention,” “Dengue Fever Prevention,” “Foodborne Disease Prevention,” “Vaccination,” and “Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) Prevention: Syphilis and Gonorrhea.”
1.In accordance with Article 13 of the School Health Act, when a school identifies a student or staff member infected with an infectious disease or at risk of causing intra-school transmission, it must coordinate with public health and environmental protection authorities to implement epidemic prevention and monitoring measures. According to Article 8 of the Act’s Enforcement Rules, schools shall cooperate with all levels of public health and environmental protection authorities to conduct infectious disease prevention education.
2.To enhance awareness and knowledge of infectious disease prevention among faculty, staff, and students at universities and colleges, the Ministry commissioned National Taiwan University to develop the aforementioned educational materials. These materials are intended for reference and use by schools in conducting educational or promotional activities on infectious disease prevention.
